  • ATI programme: R&D funding for smaller business, expression of interest, Autumn 2020

    UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £8 million to carry out industry-led civil aerospace collaborative R&D projects. This funding is from the ATI Programme.

    Eligibility

    This competition is open to collaborations only. To lead a project your organisation must:

    • be a UK registered business of any size
    • work with other organisations
    • involve at least one micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)
    • plan to carry out a civil aerospace research or technology development project in the UK
    • address the specific requirements of the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy – “Accelerating Ambition”

    All project partners must sign up to the Aerospace Technology Institute (ATI) framework agreement. Projects in this competition are currently exempt from paying the industrial contribution to the Aerospace Technology Institute.

  • ATI Programme strategic batch: expression of interest November 2020

    The ATI Programme funds industrial research and investment aid for research infrastructures to make the UK civil aerospace sector more competitive.

    Eligibility

    To lead a project or work alone your organisation must:

    • be a UK registered business of any size to lead a research project
    • be a UK registered business of any size, an academic institution, or a research and technology organisation (RTO) to lead a capital infrastructure project
    • plan to carry out an aerospace research or technology development project in the UK
    • address the requirements of the UK Aerospace Technology Strategy
    • sign up to the Aerospace Technology Institute framework agreement

  • SMEs transforming food production: series A investor partnership

    UK registered SMEs that are transforming food production towards net zero can apply for a share of up to £5 million in grant support. This must align with a series A investment. The grant funding is from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

  • UK and Canada biomanufacturing innovations in cell and gene therapies

    A collaborative opportunity with the National Research Council of Canada on process improvement in biomanufacturing of gene and cell therapies

    Eligibility

    This competition is open to single applicants and collaborations.

    To lead a project or work alone your organisation must be either a:

    • UK registered micro, small or medium sized enterprise (SME)
    • catapult
    • charity
    • not for profit organisation

    You must collaborate with a research team from the National Research Council of Canada (NRC).

  • ISCF Future Plastic Packaging Solutions

  • Transforming Foundation industries: Investor partner selection

    Investors can apply to align their investments with up to £7 million grant funding from Innovate UK to make foundation industries globally competitive. This funding is from the ISCF.

    Eligibility

    To be considered as an investor partner you must:

    • be an equity provider with a UK presence, with the power to make equity investments
    • demonstrate an interest in investment in clean technologies in the foundation industries and their supply chains, including products, services and business models
    • commit to exploring aligning investment in the portfolio of UK registered micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that you will identify and invite to the upcoming SME competition

  • Automotive Transformation Fund expression of interest: October 2020

    UK registered businesses can apply for a share of up to £1 billion for capital investment and R&D projects that help industrialise the electrified automotive supply chain at scale in the UK.

  • SBRI competition - Modernising Energy Data Applications phase 1

    Organisations can apply for a share of £750,000, inclusive of VAT, to develop data applications that help to address core challenges faced in the UK.

    Eligibility

    To lead a project, you must be a organisation of any size.

    Contracts will be awarded to a single entity only and other organisations can only be involved as subcontractors

    You must:

    • build upon the data solutions developed through the Modernising Energy Data Access competition
    • work with Modernising Energy Data Access (MEDA) competition winners
    • address the real-world user needs of an organisation or group of people in the UK
    • combine energy data with data from another sector for the development and operation of your solution

  • SBRI - AI supporting early detection and diagnosis in heart failure management

    Organisations can apply for a share of £120,000 inclusive of VAT, to develop an AI tool to provide accessible heart failure data from routine patient information.

    • work alone or with other organisations

    Contracts will be awarded to a single legal entity only.

    You must use computer infrastructure in the Health Informatics Centre’s ‘safe haven’ ISO27001 environment.
