    • collaborate with others
    • involve at least one UK academic partner
    • involve at least one micro, small or medium-sized enterprise (SME)

  • UK-Canada: enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability

    UK businesses with Canadian business partners can apply for a share of up to £2 million, from the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, for innovative projects that enhance productivity and sustainability of crop, livestock and aquaculture systems.

    Eligibility

    To lead a project your organisation must be a:

    • UK registered business of any size
    • or Canadian registered small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) with 500 or fewer employees

    For the overall project a UK or Canadian organisation can be the lead.

    In the Innovation Funding Service (IFS) application you must list the UK lead as lead organisation and identify the Canadian lead in the application.

    The project consortium must contain at least:

    • one UK registered business of any size
    • and one registered Canadian SME (500 or fewer employees)

  • Subsea autonomous systems: next generation technologies

    Individuals can apply to join a 5-day collaborative workshop to develop proposals for autonomous subsea systems that can significantly improve mission duration, sensing and communications.

    Eligibility

    To apply for the collaborative residential workshop (the Innovation Lab) you must:

    • be nominated to act as a representative on behalf of your organisation
    • attend on behalf of a UK registered business, academic organisation, public sector organisation, research and technology organisation (RTO) or charity
    • have the technical competence necessary to collaborate with other participants on solutions to the challenge

    • be based in the UK, EU, or EEA
    • work alone or with others as subcontractors

    You must:

    • involve a railway asset owner (stations, rolling stock, infrastructure), an experienced railway organisation and a railway organisation that has the potential to become a customer (these can all be the same organisation)
    • include a potential integration partner
